Every woman wants to look her best on her wedding day! That’s why we at Impression Bridal have made it just a bit easier for all excited brides to be to find out exactly what kind of dress will best compliment her figure for that special occasion.
This particular page is dedicated to helping brides with the figured that can be referred to as “rectangle” shaped in discovering the best type of wedding dress to enhance their body type and stun all who share the wonderful occasion of their wedding day.
How do you know if your figure is included in this particular body shape category?
If your shoulders and hips are about the same width and there is not a lot of waist definition, then your body will be best displayed wearing a wedding dress that meets with the following suggestions.
You will want to add curves to the silhouette of your body with a wedding dress design that defines the waist well. An empire waist will successfully help you to achieve this defined waist. Additionally, when there is finely crafted beaded detail, as you will find in exquisite Impression Bridal gowns, around the waistline, or a lovely, colored sash in the choice color to coordinate with your bridal party colors around the waist, this will also help you to achieve the desired look to flatter your figure.
You can also play up your bodice with asymmetrical pleating or lace appliqués and this vice-versa with the skirt of your wedding dress as well.
Styles of attractive wedding dresses that you may choose to best accentuate your body type are Sheath, Empire, A-Line, Ball Gown and Mermaid. You will also look best with necklines such as the Portrait neckline or the Strapless neckline.
These body type/wedding dress style guide descriptions will also work well if you are seeking to find the most complimentary prom gown, mother of the bride dress, or bridesmaid dress.

In an effort to improve fit and provide the most figure flattering garments possible, we at Impression Bridal have completely re-designed the construction of our wedding gowns. The result: Magic Fit, by Impression.
Magic Fit gowns have been engineered to reduce the wearers’ waist size by up to three inches while simultaneously increasing her bust measurement by the same. Other elements of Magic Fit are more subtle, decreasing the need for alterations and flattering the bodies’ natural shape.
Magic Fit will be a major component of our marketing in this and future seasons, and we are anticipating a great increase in demand for our wedding gowns as a result. Our test- marketing has indicated that brides prefer the look and feel of Magic Fit gowns over anything currently available in the industry.
My Husband and I were together 4 years when he proposed. As soon as he popped the question, my planning began! Hopefully he had some kind of idea of what he was in for; I am the epitome of a girly girl! Everything always has to be extremely girly and sparkly. I dreamed of a pink wedding with lots of sparkles!
I knew I wanted this dress before I knew I was even getting married. When I got engaged, I ordered the gold without trying anything else on, and before we set a date because I knew it was to be discontinued soon. Everyone loved my dress, and commented on how they had never seen anything like it. Our wedding date was just May 14 of this year, so I had the dress for almost a year and a half. Thank you for making such a beautiful dress.
At 42, I has always been the bridesmaid, never the bride. I always knew I would not be alone forever but firmly believed that the man made for me must not be ready, or I had something else to learn, and he would come when the time was right. One of my best friends would say "I'd love to fix you up but don't know anyone worthy", or close family friends would say "you're the type of person that when it happens, it's going to happen fast", and boy were they right.
